Search: Family Search is a free website. The mass
of content to search through here includes the International
Genealogical Index, the Vital Records Index and the 1881 census.
If your family have moved the 1881 Candadian census and the

BMD: Free BMD is a volunteer project run by family
historians, which aims to make the indexes to birth, marriage
and death registrations, freely available to all researchers
on the web. Although not yet complete to today the coverage
before 1990 is exceptionally good. Click

Commonwealth
Graves Commission: This website lists the 1.7 million
brave men and women who gave their lives in the Commonwealth
forces during the two world wars. It also lists the 67,000
Commonwealth civilians who died during the conflicts. Click

this site got a lot of flak when first launched it's a handy
tool for searching for your ancestors especially given that
